Account Executive

Role & responsibilities

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Post and reconcile daily, monthly, and annual accounting entries.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with internal and external audits to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Provide reports and financial analysis to management to support decision-making processes.

Inventory and Fixed Asset Management:

• Manage and reconcile inventory records, ensuring accurate reporting of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
• Track and report on fixed assets, ensuring depreciation calculations are correct and assets are properly accounted for.

Tax Compliance:

• Assist in preparing tax returns, ensuring the company complies with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Track all applicable taxes in the manufacturing industry.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and collections from customers.
• Monitor and maintain cash flow, preparing cash flow forecasts as needed.

ERP and Accounting Systems:

• Utilize BUSY software to record financial transactions and produce reports.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the accounting system.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and manufacturing cost structures.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
