Job Description: Manager Purchase
Location: Morbi Gujarat Reporting: Head of Purchase

Key Responsibilities
• Procurement Management:
o Procure materials and equipment as per the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for Solar EPC
projects.
o Source quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency and timelines.
o Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Vendor Management:
o Identify and onboard reliable suppliers for renewable energy (solar) components.
o Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure long-term collaboration.
o Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Inventory Control:
o Manage project-wise inventory to ensure availability of materials and prevent
overstocking.
o Conduct regular audits of materials to maintain optimal stock levels.
o Implement processes for inventory reconciliation and disposal of excess or obsolete
items.
• Process and Systems Implementation:
o Utilize ERP systems for procurement planning, purchase order creation, and tracking.
o Ensure adherence to internal systems, processes, and procurement policies.
o Drive automation and optimization in procurement workflows.
• Market Analysis:
o Stay updated with market trends and innovations in solar equipment and renewable
energy sourcing.
o Evaluate cost escalations and recommend procurement strategies accordingly.
• Regulatory and Financial Compliance:
o Ensure all purchases comply with GST regulations and other taxation laws.
o Manage import/export documentation and processes for solar materials when
necessary.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Coordinate with the Design and Engineering departments to align procurement with
technical requirements.
o Work closely with the Accounts department for vendor payments and budgeting.

Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management is a plus.

Experience
• 6-7 years of procurement experience in Renewable Energy, especially Solar EPC.

Key Skills
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
• Strong understanding of BoQ, inventory management, and project-based procurement.
• Knowledge of GST and taxation laws relevant to procurement.
• Analytical mindset with excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.

Preferred Competencies
• Familiarity with solar-specific components such as PV modules, inverters, and mounting
structures.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for vendor and team management.
