Recon Business Analyst (BA)

We are seeking a skilled Recon Business Analyst with a strong background in investment banking and a deep understanding of the reconciliation domain. The ideal candidate will have the ability to gather, document, and communicate business requirements at both high and detailed levels. Familiarity with trade life-cycle, asset classes, and agile methodologies (specifically SCRUM) is crucial. A hands-on approach to technology and development is a must, along with any relevant business analysis certifications such as CCBA or CBAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Analysis: Gather, document, and understand business requirements for reconciliation processes, creating detailed documentation such as BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FSDs (Functional Specification Documents), DFTs (Data Flow Diagrams), UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams, and RTMs (Requirement Traceability Matrices).
• Reconciliation Domain Expertise: Utilize knowledge of the investment banking industry and the reconciliation domain to provide solutions and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Trade Life-Cycle & Asset Classes: Deep understanding of the trade life-cycle and various asset classes to enhance reconciliation accuracy and efficiency.
• Agile Methodology: Apply agile practices (specifically SCRUM) to manage project tasks, iteratively develop features, and maintain timely delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurately captured and translated into technical solutions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle and assist in testing and quality assurance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the investment banking or financial services domain, with a focus on reconciliation processes.
• Strong knowledge of trade life-cycle and different asset classes.
• Experience with agile methodologies, especially SCRUM, and a clear understanding of business requirements documentation (BRD, FSD, DFT, UML, RTM).
• Hands-on experience with technology and development within the context of business analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Business analysis certification such as CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis) or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) is a big plus.
• Familiarity with reconciliation tools and platforms.
• Exposure to financial systems and data analysis.
