Communication Manager

Role & responsibilities

Communications Strategy & Management

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with Green Worms goals.
• Oversee internal and external communication efforts to maintain consistency and brand identity.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to gather stories, data, and insights to craft compelling narratives.
• Monitor and measure the impact of communication strategies and optimize them accordingly.

Marketing & Content Dissemination

• Develop high-quality marketing materials, press releases, reports, newsletters, and digital content.
• Lead the creation of social media and digital campaigns that increase awareness and brand engagement.
• Supervise the production of multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and text based contents..

Team Management & Coordination

• Lead and mentor a communications team, including content creators, Writer and Graphic Designer.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned messaging and objectives.
• Foster relationships with media, journalists, and influencers to amplify Green Worms’ initiatives.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop communication strategies to engage local communities, waste workers, and policymakers.
• Conduct training and workshops to enhance the communication skills of the team and stakeholders.
• Represent Green Worms in industry events, panel discussions, and public forums.

Crisis Communication & Reputation Management

• Develop crisis communication plans to manage and respond to any reputational risks.
• Ensure all public statements and responses align with Green Worms’ values and mission.

Qualifications & Skills

● Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

● Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, marketing, or media (preference for any service sector).

● Strong understanding of environmental issues, sustainability, and the circular economy.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malayalam.

● Proven experience in developing and executing successful communication campaigns.

● Knowledge in digital marketing tools, content management systems (WordPress), and graphic design software (Adobe Suite).

● Experience in managing and growing social media presence across platforms.

● Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

● Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities.

● Knowledge and experience in video production, including scriptwriting, editing, and content creation.
