This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT by integrating complex chemical knowledge. You will contribute to the development of LLMs that improve their ability to handle and apply advanced chemistry concepts. You will be doing the following but not limited to

• Refine LLMs to predict chemical reactions and synthesis pathways with high precision, aiding drug discovery and material innovation.
• Enhance LLMs' understanding of chemical mechanisms and material properties, leading to improved analysis and problem-solving in areas like catalysis and environmental chemistry.
• Improve LLMs' ability to reason through complex chemical problems, such as optimizing reaction conditions and interpreting experimental data.

As part of our team, you will collaborate with AI, machine learning, and scientific experts, creating an enriching interdisciplinary environment.

Your analytical skills will be crucial in refining LLMs, curating complex datasets, and addressing challenges in model outputs. Your contributions will drive innovations in AI, impacting fields where chemistry plays a critical role.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Model Training and Refinement:

• Apply your deep chemistry expertise to ensure LLMs handle fundamental and advanced chemistry topics accurately.
• Enhance the models' ability to reason through complex chemical problems, such as predicting reaction outcomes and optimizing synthesis conditions.
• Dataset Curation and Labeling: Lead the creation and review of specialized chemistry datasets, ensuring LLMs accurately capture both basic and advanced chemistry knowledge. This includes molecular modeling, reaction mechanisms, and materials science.

Problem Solving and Diagnostics:

• Use your chemistry expertise to diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues in LLM outputs.
• Address inconsistencies and errors related to chemical predictions or interpretations, ensuring models produce scientifically accurate results.

Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF):

• Collaborate on fine-tuning LLMs through RLHF, providing feedback to improve models' understanding of chemistry concepts and their application in real-world scenarios.

Prompt Engineering:

• Develop expertise in prompt engineering to enhance LLMs' responses to complex chemistry queries, ensuring more accurate and context-aware outputs.

What We are Looking For:

• PhD in Chemistry or related field, with 1+ years of experience
