Job Description
Green Hopper is looking for Turner to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
- Lathe Operation: Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and other turning equipment to cut, shape, and fabricate metal or other materials
- Tool Selection: Select and mount cutting tools, tool holders, attachments, and fixtures on machines
- Workpiece Handling:Material Preparation: Load and secure workpieces in the machine, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to safety procedures
- Quality Control:Quality Checks: Inspect finished workpieces for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and gauges
- Adjustments: Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling to maintain product quality
- Maintenance:Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts
- Safety and Compliance:Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment
- Documentation:Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, tool changes, and production data
- Team Collaboration:Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including machinists, supervisors, and engineers, to achieve production goals
