Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and Dynamic Business Head to lead and drive revenue growth for an HR tech company. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, managing a high-performing sales team, and overseeing the overall sales process to ensure we meet our business goals. You will also play a crucial role in building strategic relationships with enterprise and SMB clients while fostering innovation and growth within the HR tech sector.

As the Head, you will work closely with the executive team, including the CEO, to ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives and to capitalize on market opportunities. Your success will be measured by revenue growth, client acquisition, and the development of long-term strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

- Revenue Ownership: Own the overall sales targets for the organization, with a focus on driving both enterprise-level and SMB sales for HR tech solutions.

- Sales Strategy Development: Design and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that drives growth across multiple customer segments, ensuring the scalability of sales efforts.

- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, set clear goals, and foster a culture of accountability, performance, and results.

- Sales Process Optimization: Implement best-in-class sales processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across the team.

Enterprise and SMB Sales Focus:

- Client Acquisition: Build and manage relationships with key enterprise clients while also scaling efforts in the SMB segment.

- Customer-Centric Solutions: Understand the evolving needs of clients within HR tech and ensure that our solutions are positioned as the ideal solution for their challenges.

- Negotiation & Closing: Oversee key negotiations and closing strategies, particularly for high-value enterprise deals and partnerships.

Market Penetration and Growth:

- Market Expansion: Identify new market segments, product opportunities, and geographic regions to drive expansion.

- Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitors in the HR tech space to position the company's solutions effectively.

- Go-to-Market Execution: Lead the execution of go-to-market plans, including identifying market entry strategies, pricing models, and marketing alignment.

Client Relationship Management:

- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture long-term strategic relationships with clients and partners to drive business growth and loyalty.

- Customer Feedback & Product Evolution: Collaborate with product teams to ensure the feedback loop from customers is integrated into the development of new features and enhancements.

Sales Operations & Performance Management:

- KPI & Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress against sales targets, and hold the team accountable for performance.

- Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and forecasts to the executive team.

- Sales Training & Development: Continuously improve the sales team's skills and knowledge through structured training programs, mentorship, and coaching.

Desired Skills and Expertise:

- Sales Leadership: 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a strong focus on building and scaling high-performing sales teams within the HR tech, SaaS, or enterprise software space.

- Enterprise & SMB Sales: Proven experience in both large enterprise and SMB sales, with the ability to tailor sales strategies to different customer segments.

- Strong Negotiation Skills: Excellent ability to negotiate high-value contracts, navigate complex sales cycles, and close large deals.

- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR technology trends, including talent management, HR automation, employee engagement, and recruitment tech solutions.

- Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and understand the long-term direction of the company, while executing on day-to-day sales goals.

- Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with experience using sales analytics and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage performance, track pipelines, and report on KPIs.

- Relationship Building: Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a focus on both client and team development.

- Leadership: Proven experience leading, developing, and mentoring a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.

- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced business qualification is a plus.
