About the Opportunity: Grameen, is implementing a largescale program titled GROW (Generating Rural Opportunities for Women
to Win in Agri-entrepreneurship) program in four (4) districts of Andhra Pradesh (East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, and
Visakhapatnam) over a period of 5 years. The program will create self-employment with a sustainable and regular income for at
least 5,000 women, working as agri-entrepreneurs (AE) who, in turn, will contribute to the livelihood enhancement of one (1)
million smallholder farmers (SHFs).
Reporting and relationships: The position will be reporting to the Senior Program Manager.
Job Summary: A Market Linkage Expert will be responsible for facilitating connections between AEs and various market players.
Market Linkage Expert empowers AEs to access better opportunities by understanding market dynamics, resulting in increased
income generation.
Essential Job Functions

Key Responsibilities

To scout and establish, end-to-end market linkages for profitable business deals of the AEs.
To support AEs in building and maintaining cordial relationships with buyers, processors, wholesalers, retailers, and
other market players to establish market linkages.

To keep AEs informed about market regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements to meet markets’
expectations.
o
To help in the assessment of customer needs and developing the plan.
o
To conduct market research and analyze its findings to identify potential buyers, understand market dynamics, key
stakeholders, value addition opportunities for the agricultural products produced by AEs.
To provide guidance on branding and packaging strategies that align with market demands and preferences,
enhancing the products’ marketability.
To provide timely, relevant, and up-to-date market intelligence to AEs, information on market prices enabling them
to adapt their production, marketing strategies and pricing of products accordingly.

To establish feedback mechanisms between AEs and SHFs to continuously improve product quality and meet the
expectations of customers.

To conduct regular workshops with AEs to enhance their understanding of market dynamics, effective marketing
techniques, and negotiation processes.
To assist AEs in promotion of their products through various marketing channels, trade shows, and promotional
events.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

He/ she should have 6 to 8 plus years of experience in FPOs strengthening especially on FPOs financial linkages and
developing the capacity of FPOs to be a viable business enterprise, working with financial institutions etc.
The minimum qualification would be MBA/PG in Rural Management/Development/Social sciences/Finance a reputed institute.
