Logistics Officer

Employee Specification [Knowledge, Skill Sets & Attributes]:

• Core Warehousing and Logistics experience.
• Execution knowledge of Planning and Logistics.
• Core food storage safety, quality and basic FSSAI requirements with regard to warehousing.
• Knowledge of SAP
• Ability to set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• On hand experience of Route planning, Network planning, Vehicle Tracking, TAT, GPS technology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Numeracy and an understanding of finance for stock management.
• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with companys policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Plan work ROTAs, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
• Capacity planning with respect to storage space.
• Knowledge of all key aspects of warehousing is must in detail (From Inward to Final loading and Dispatch, Return / Damaged / Shortage-Excess stock management).
• Entire knowledge of order to cash process is must and desirable. Also should be able to explain entire cycle in SAP.
• Candidate need to explain methods to improve Inventory accuracy, Efficiency.
• Candidate should be able to calculate Efficiency of warehouse operation.

Key Result Areas [KRAs] & Accountabilities & Job Responsibility:

• Assist in production planning with respect to capacity planning and available storage space.
• Defining Warehouse Budget and Actual costing.
• Manpower productivity, Shift alignment and 100% Dock Management.
• 100% Inventory accuracy, Completing monthly Physical Vs System inventory count cycles. Ensuring IRA count on daily basis. Timely submission of report to finance dept.
• Support to Logistics function as and when needed.
• Maintaining FIFO and FEFO.
• Timely loading and completion of loading plan within given shift timings. Ensuring timely vehicle gate out.
• Responsible for stock availability and fill rate, coordination with Production or Purchase dept. to ensure stock availability. Replenishing the stock as per safety stock levels.
• Defining safety stock levels as per storage space availability, capacity planning and coordination with Production team and managing space at 3PL hub locations.
• Ensuring product safety, human safety and product quality pertained to storage area and requirement related food safety compliance, FSSAI norms to be followed.
• Creating and maintaining MIS reports on Daily, Weekly and Monthly Basis.
• Maintaining reports and dashboards.
