GeM provides a paperless, cashless and contactless ecosystem for government buyers to directly purchase products and services from pan-India sellers and service providers through an online platform. GeM covers the entire gamut of procurement process, right from vendor registration and item selection by buyers to receipt of goods and facilitation of timely payments. GeM has envisioned to utilise the agility and speed that come along with a digital platform created with a strategic intent to reinvigorate public procurement systems and bring about a lasting change for the underserved as well as the nation.

Type of employment: This is a contractual role under Project Management Unit (PMU) of GeM.


Location: This position is based in Delhi


A broad overview of the nature of the role can be garnered from the broad outline of the primary responsibilities shared below:


Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Revenue Modeling, and Financial Analysis
  • Responsible for Identification of alternate and new revenue streams for GeM
  • Design and implement innovative revenue models in alignment with the organization's strategic goals
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue models.
  • Collaborate with government institutions, fintech companies, startups, and other partners to co-create innovative solutions.
  • Responsible for Analysis of Market and identify opportunities and risks
  • Responsible for analysing and monitor all revenue streams to ensure accuracy, completeness and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for Identify and investigate discrepancies or anomalies in revenue data.
  • Review and improve existing revenue assurance processes and controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and implement best practices.
  • Responsible for preparation of CFO-Report for the Board Meetings and Management
  • Responsible for the preparation for Monthly Financial MIS & Dashboard to the management
  • Responsible for helping in preparation, automation of Various reports.
  • Identify potential risks to revenue and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on revenue, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior management with various dashboard
  • Work closely with operations, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Work with Business Heads on corrective measures to address gaps found in Revenue Policy, customer contracts policy related issues.
  • Use data-driven approaches to forecast future revenues and assess the financial viability of new business strategies.
  • Handling of Buyers/Sellers Query with respect to Revenue Assurance.
  • Lead the development of alternative revenue streams, including data monetization, advertising, and digital marketing.
  • Assist in overseeing the organization's treasury operations as per DPE guidelines, including cash flow management, investment decisions, debt management, and ensuring compliance with financial policies to optimize liquidity, reduce financial risks, and maximize returns on investments.
  • Development and monitoring of control systems to report accurate financial reports and results.
  • Handling of any other responsibility as assigned from time to time.

Professional Qualifications

Essential:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience for Manager and 8 years’ experience for Senior Manager role in the following area:
  • Revenue Analysis / Financial Analysis.

Educational Qualification:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology/Engineering/ Commerce from any recognized University.
  • Full time MBA or equivalent degree/diploma in Finance/Technology/Digital Business, or a related field is a must.

Preference will be given to:

  • Candidates with graduation and / or post-graduation from IITs / IIMs / Top Tier Institutes/Universities as per NIRF ranking
  • Professional certifications like FRM, CFA, SEBI, etc.

Other Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in BI tools such as (Qlik, PowerBI, Tableu etc.), Advance Excel with experience in data modelling, dashboard preparation, data visualization, etc.
  • Experience in financial modelling, and financial benchmarking
  • Good understanding of data industry and experience in market research and analysis
  • Experience in using web-based CMS (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
  • Project Management skills
  • High problem-solving skills: ability to drive through the problem and the observations in simple plain language to the management for complex products
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail, an ability to think proactively, prioritize work and manage day to day activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication along with presentation skills (via phone, email and in-person)
  • High sense of responsibility and commitment with good collaboration and people skills



















GeM selection committee reserves the right to relax or extend the eligibility criteria and educational qualification.

In case numbers of applications received are very high, GeM reserves the right to shortlist candidates and invite only shortlisted candidates for interview round.
