Mall Event Manager

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Mall Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events that drive foot traffic, enhance customer engagement, and increase revenue for the mall. This role requires excellent organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Planning and Management:
• Develop and execute a calendar of events, including seasonal promotions, festivals, exhibitions, and community activities.
• Coordinate with mall tenants to integrate their participation in events.
• Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
2. Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and entertainment providers for event setups.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and sponsors.
• Coordinate permits and compliance with local authorities for public events.
3. Marketing and Promotions:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels (social media, mall website, newsletters, etc.).
• Ensure brand alignment and effective communication for all event campaigns.
• Gather feedback from visitors to evaluate the success of events and improve future initiatives.
4. Operational Oversight:
• Oversee event setup, logistics, and on-site management.
• Ensure safety and adherence to all health and safety regulations during events.
• Address and resolve any issues or emergencies promptly.
5. Reporting and Analytics:
• Prepare post-event reports, including ROI analysis and visitor engagement metrics.
• Use analytics to identify trends and propose innovative event ideas.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in event management, preferably in retail or shopping mall environments.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in event management software and tools is a plus.
