We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Purchase Experience Engineering team. You will be responsible for managing portions of our customer-facing platform, ensuring its flawless functionality, and driving its strategic application across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical insight in software development, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic approach to optimize our services to meet ambitious business objectives.

What youll get to do...
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, encouraging a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
- Offer mentorship for career development and performance management
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and team-building activities
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they meet business objectives, timelines, and quality standards
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other collaborators to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Manage project budgets and resources effectively
- Offer mentorship and support to the development team, assisting in the resolution of intricate technical challenges and making strategic architectural choices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and standard methodologies to foster innovation within the team.
- Implement and refine software development processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Promote Agile/Scrum practices and ensure adherence to software development life cycle (SDLC) standards
- Act as a liaison between engineering teams and other departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and expectations
- Present progress reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management and other collaborators
- Identify potential risks and issues related to software development and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the development of long-term technology strategies and roadmaps
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and practices that can improve team performance and product capabilities
Your experiences should include...
- 7+ years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Proven experience in managing large-scale software projects and leading cross-functional teams
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles, methodologies, and standard processes
- Expertise in one or more programming languages and technologies relevant to the companys tech stack (e.g. NodeJs, React, Javascript, Express, Webpack)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in fast paced situations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical collaborators.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise
You might also have...
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, containerisation)
- Experience in a dynamic and rapidly evolving technology environment with a focus on constant learning and growth
