Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bioinformatician with a strong background in Genomics, Data Analysis, and Algorithm Design. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience working on large-scale biological datasets, developing algorithms, and driving innovative solutions in bioinformatics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Genomics Analysis:

• Analyze high-throughput sequencing data, including NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing).
• Perform variant calling, annotation, and interpretation of genomic data.
• Develop pipelines for genome assembly, transcriptomics, and comparative genomics.

1. Data Analysis:

• Process and analyze complex biological datasets using statistical and computational tools.
• Apply machine learning techniques to identify patterns and generate insights.
• Validate findings and ensure data integrity and reproducibility.

1. Algorithm Design:

• Design and implement algorithms for biological data interpretation.
• Optimize bioinformatics tools and workflows for scalability and efficiency.

1. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including biologists and software engineers.
• Present findings through reports, presentations, and scientific publications.

1. Tool Development and Maintenance:

• Develop custom scripts and software for bioinformatics applications.
• Maintain and update computational pipelines and databases.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Expertise in Genomics, Data Analysis, and Algorithm Design.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, and Perl.
• Experience with bioinformatics tools such as GATK, STAR, and SAMtools.
• Knowledge of databases like Ensembl, NCBI, and UCSC Genome Browser.
• Familiarity with high-performance computing and cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Master’s/Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in bioinformatics research or applied genomics.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale genomic data and analytical pipelines.
