SPM Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop material handling equipment, including conveyors and custom SPMs, from concept to production.
• Create and modify detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo, ensuring designs meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.
• Conduct design calculations, simulations, and stress analysis to ensure the structural integrity and durability of equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and quality, to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials) and detailed documentation for manufacturing processes.
• Apply knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques to enhance the efficiency and reliability of equipment.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to refine and finalize designs.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to implement best practices in material handling equipment design.
