Sales Manager - FMCG
- 6 to 8 years of Sales and Marketing experience in the FMCG sector.
- Formulation of sales Strategies.
- Planning and achieving sales targets and sales led initiatives outlet expansion, growth and experimentation etc. for the depot through a team of sales officers.
- Setting and strengthening of distribution system supply chain management for the depot.
- Creative planning for sales related activities for the area to drive volumes, visibility and reach.
- Driving central thrust areas & key projects within the territory.
- Knowledge of the product distribution market
- Ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Proficient in speaking English, Hindi and at least one south Indian language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales revenue numbers, budget and profit goals for Product Line.
- Assist in managing monthly/quarterly/annual sales budgets and objectives for Product Line.
- Provide feedback to management from key retail and distributor customers.
- Provide monthly sales reports, monthly expense reports and any assigned reports to Area Sales in a timely manner.
- Identify and track all industry trends and issues, i.e. - natural and retail growth, distributor changes, opportunities, segment variations, etc.
- Maintain relationship with wholesalers, retails to continuously generate orders.
- Plan and Perform channel distributions.
- Visit to more and more potential audience, explain them about the products.
- Look after demand and supply chain.
- Routine Activities: Handle customer complaints, release vendor payments, approve expenses (up to specified limit), take update of floor walk points, GRN, receiving, coordinate with DC.
- Monitor preparation of store for stock take, guide store manager & coordinate with different functions for accurate and timely stock take.
- Check daily PI and give inputs/suggestions to store manager.
- Monitor preparation of store for festival and guide store manager.
- Conduct mid term review and performance appraisal of officers & managers.
- Conduct Training, Knowledge sharing with stores. Participate in employee engagement activities.
- Recommend promotions, transfer of store staff. Ensure adherence to processes for safety of people and store assets.
- End to end coordination with different departments, functions, external vendors & Government officials for smooth opening of new store / existing store.
- Do Media Planning for stores during different seasons.
- Initiating business opportunities and maintaining existing accounts as assigned
- Working strategically to achieve and exceed aggressive seasonal and annual sales targets.
- Maximizing growth potential for sales of assigned accounts.
- Organizing and attending trade shows.
- Exceed quarterly sales team quotas and all activities of revenue generation, to ensure continual aggressive growth nationally.
- Implement strategic planning, forecasting and ongoing development of sales team.
- Attract, hire and develop a sales team consistently execute national gameplans ad exceed business goals, while holding them accountable.
- Identify improvement in all areas of productivity, process and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain executive level relationships to help drive sales activities.
- Experienced energetic applicant must have the ability to do business immediately upon starting.
- Works closely with local sales managers and general sales manager in pricing and managing inventory to effectively sell to all accounts.
