Job Description
- Able to work independently very strong tech leadership skill (data engineering + architecture)
- Architect and implement the design, development, and data pipelines data warehouses. Troubleshoot data pipelines data warehouses.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that projects meet their requirements.
- Architected a data lake house (serverless) solution, consolidating disparate data sources and cutting data retrieval time by 50% using data bricks and able to handle petabyte(s) of data.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes in azure environment, hands on using data bricks data engineering and supporting advanced predictive maintenance analytics scalability improvement for growing data demands.
- Utilize Python and Apache Spark to perform data cleansing and aggregation on massive datasets, generate cost vs usage metrics for storage/compute achieving a 99.9% data accuracy rate for business-critical reports.
- Implemented a robust data ingestion framework, rigorous data pipeline testing practices, utilizing DevOps for CI/CD, Docker (Advanced), Kubernetes (Intermediate), Terraform (Intermediate)
- Data Governance practices, company-wide data governance strategy that enforced data standards and streamlined data access for cross-functional team including data cataloging with unity catalog/ collibra / experience on Apptio / cloud cost / azure cost analysis
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Overall, 10 to 14years in IT hands on experience in Azure cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Databricks, Data Factory, and Data Warehouse technologies
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer) are a plus.
