Linux Administrator

Scope:

• Installation and configurations / reconfigurations of Linux OS and applications.
• Managing user accounts and permissions.
• Automating routine tasks using scripting languages.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in accordance with the defined SLA terms and conditions.
• Day to day monitoring OS, file system, memory, CPU, application/CMS/DB
• Application support for Software upgrades, patches, security updates
• Managing storage, backup and recovery systems.
• Fixing bugs in the website/CMS
• Ensuring compatibility with popular browsers
• Regular updates to the Ubuntu OS components from official Ubuntu repositories
• Regular OS security patches from Official sources
• Security Hardening, Vulnerability management and patch management
• SAST

Skills required:

• Strong knowledge of Ubuntu (Linux) administration and architecture with minimum experience of 2 years for L1& 4 years for L3 in having handled cloud hosted VMs.
• Familiarity with other Linux variations like RedHat etc.
• Good experience in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Knowledge and understanding of network protocols.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good documentation and communication skills is an added advantage.
• Good experience in Nginx, npm, nodejs, Github, Docker etc.Role & responsibilities
