As the Senior Director of Engineering, you will lead and shape the technical vision, drive large-scale architectural decisions, and oversee a team that builds high-impact, user-centric financial technology.

Position: Senior Director of Engineering - Fintech (80% management | 20% Technical)

Experience Required: 10 to 16 years

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Leadership: Define and execute the engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with the business objectives and fintech industry standards.

- Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

- Architecture Oversight: Guide architectural and infrastructure decisions, particularly on AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda.

- Product Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Data Science, to drive and deliver complex fintech solutions.

- Frontend & Backend Oversight: Oversee both backend (e.g., Java, Python preferred) and frontend (JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Vue) development to ensure a seamless, robust user experience.

- Security & Compliance: Ensure that engineering practices adhere to security protocols, data privacy standards, and compliance requirements in fintech.

- Continuous Improvement: Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, performance optimizations, and staying ahead of technology trends in the fintech landscape.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience: 10 years in software engineering with a significant focus on technical leadership and team management in fintech.

- AWS Expertise: Proven track record of deploying and managing solutions on AWS, with deep knowledge of services architecture.

- Backend & Frontend Proficiency: Strong expertise in backend languages (e.g., Java, C++), with Python preferred but not mandatory, and frontend proficiency with JavaScript frameworks.

- Fintech Domain Knowledge: Extensive experience in the fintech industry, with a deep understanding of industry trends, regulatory compliance, and security requirements.

- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a technical team, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of the regulatory landscape and compliance standards relevant to fintech.
