Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Conduct various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Identify and document software defects using issue tracking tools, and effectively communicate findings to the development team.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Create clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and propose solutions to improve software quality.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing, and actively contribute to process improvement initiatives within the testing team.
- Ensure adherence to established quality standards, processes, and procedures throughout the testing lifecycle.
Requirements :
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Experience with manual testing of web applications, mobile apps, and APIs.
- Ability to write clear and concise bug reports.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or similar.
- Experience with browser debugging tools and network monitoring tools (e. g., Chrome DevTools).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in execution.
- Ability to communicate effectively with developers and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing, including experience with test planning, test execution, defect
identification, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test techniques, and best practices.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, and hands-on experience in creating and executing
automated test scripts.
- Proficiency in using issue-tracking tools to identify, track, and communicate software defects effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate and thorough testing coverage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate testing findings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently, and actively contribute to
team goals and objectives.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills :
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium) is a plus.
- Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman.
- Experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages like Python.
