• Gather and Monitor Financial Data: This position is responsible for leading accounting functions, tax (direct and indirect) reporting function, and transaction processing functions - accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections. Completion of month-end journals, reconciliations, AR & AP transactions and monthly book closure.
• Financial Reporting: Overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Month-End and Year-End Closures: Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the reconciliation of accounts and the preparation of consolidated financial reports.
• Internal Controls: Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Tax Compliance: Managing tax reporting and compliance, including the preparation of tax returns and the implementation of tax strategies. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that could affect the company's financials.
• Conduct Internal Audits: Liaison with auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare Budgets: Develop budgets and forecasts.
• Accounting Policy Development: Developing and updating accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
