Job Overview:

We are seeking a Windows Server Administrator to join our IT operations team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience managing and administering Windows Server environments, with expertise in Active Directory, DNS, IIS, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, and system security. This role will support, maintain, and enhance the server infrastructure, ensuring its security, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Windows Server Administration:

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022).
• Perform routine administrative tasks such as system monitoring, patching, and updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Active Directory Management:

• Administer Active Directory (AD) including creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, groups, organizational units (OUs), and group replication issues.
• Manage domain controllers and assist with domain migrations and replication issues.
• Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for effective user and computer configuration.

DNS and DHCP Configuration:

• Manage and configure DNS servers to ensure proper name resolution for the network.
• Troubleshoot DNS issues and implement DNS security measures.
• Support DHCP services, ensuring IP address management functions smoothly across the network.

Web Server Administration (IIS):

• Manage Internet Information Services (IIS) for web application hosting.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot web server issues related to smoothly across the network and availability.

PowerShell Scripting and Automation:

• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks such as user provisioning, group management, server monitoring, and reporting.
• Write custom scripts to improve system performance, security, and Efficiency.

Security Management:

• Implement security best practices to safeguard systems, networks, and data.
• Monitor security events, identify potential vulnerabilities, and perform risk assessments.
• Assist with security audits and compliance requirements, including patch management and updates.

Backup and Recovery:

• Ensure proper backup procedures are followed, including daily, weekly, and monthly backups.
• Test and maintain disaster recovery procedures for server infrastructure.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support infrastructure projects.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for server configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in Windows Server administration (Windows Server 2012/2012-R2/2016/2019/2022).
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory (AD), DNS, IIS, and Group Policy management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and task management.
• Strong understanding of system security principles, including patch management, access control, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with OS architecture and underlying system components.
• Experience with server backups, disaster recovery procedures, and high availability.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
