Cloud Specialist - Azure/Kubernetes (8-10 yrs)

The Cloud Specialist will work closely with all areas of IT to assist in the architecture, design and build of the cloud infrastructure within cloud services such as Microsoft Azure.

The specialist needs to have the aptitude to lead the requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation of solutions in public Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

You will be working in a collaborative team environment to help implement our cloud and container strategies.

Core Job Responsibilities :

- Define, build, and operate PaaS and SaaS cloud capabilities.

- Create and update technical standards documentation.

- Work closely with Medline infrastructure and application teams to implement and manage secure, scalable, repeatable, and reliable infrastructure environments.

- Adheres to all Medline Change Management processes.

- Works closely with and advises Information Security on cloud vulnerabilities and threats by identifying, analyzing and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.

- Manage assigned projects and tasks with minimum oversight and ensure timely completion.

- Apply changes in our platforms using configurations management and infrastructure-as-code-principles.

- Quickly identify trends and patterns, and drive out root causes of complex technical problems, in order to design and implement appropriate solutions.

- Maintain on-call rotation and respond within defined SLA's as needed after hours.

- Coach team members in technical and professional aspects of their jobs.

- Take accountability for the success of the project, including offering input and insight to areas other than just the development, and bearing the responsibility of decisions that need to be made.

Relevant Work Experience :

- 8+ Years of experience deploying PaaS and SaaS based cloud services.

- 5+ Years of experience in Terraform deployments.

Education :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Certification :

- Microsoft Azure Architect.

- CKA - Certified Kubernetes Administrator.

- Terraform Associate.

Knowledge\skills\Abilities :

- Expert knowledge on Azure public cloud platform.

- Expert knowledge on solution design and architecture.

- Expert knowledge on optimization and cost management.

- Expert knowledge of secrets management (Azure Key Vault, Hashicorp Vault).

- Expert knowledge of container-based infrastructure running on Azure Kubernetes Service.

- Expert knowledge of CI/CD tools and concepts Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Artifactory.

- Expert knowledge of infrastructure as code and DevOps processes.

- Expert knowledge of version management, source control tools like Git and Bitbucket.

- Expert level experience supporting application, operations, and security teams including the ability to provide ongoing architecture and implementation support.

- Expert level ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus.

- Expert level experience coaching team members in technical and professional aspects of their job.
