Responsible for test creation, testing a large module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area independently, contributing to the immediate team and to other teams across business; Leading software quality engineering discussions and mentoring of other junior quality engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Break down problems and estimate time required for quality related tasks
• Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domain and functional areas
• Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC
• Take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Work independently and delivers testing and use case creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored
• Begin to collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans
• Collaborate with Quality Leaders in creating test plans
• Implement and configures testing tools and at times help junior staff
• Implement system-level integration testing
• Be skilled in core data structures and algorithms
• Define quality metrics, best practices and coding patterns, and provides deep expertise on the coding

Education Qualification

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline with strong academic credentials.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of extensive experience in test automation.
• Must have knowledge with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
• Must have experience and ability to develop automation scripts for the purposes of testing solution code (e.g., white-box testing).
• Must be able to design and develop automation framework.
• Must be able to develop automation for both backend and UI using tools (e.g. Katalon studio or Selinium etc).
• Must have knowledge in developing and executing maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.
• Must have experience testing web services (SOAP/REST; Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.)
• Must have experience with issue-tracking and agile project management systems such as Jira, Green Hopper, Confluence, Rally, etc.
• Must have experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Must have experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure
• Must have knowledge in test reporting tools like qTest.
• Good to have knowledge in scripting languages such as Bash, Python.
• Good to have knowledge on Infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.
• Good to have knowledge in developing Continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines.
• Good have knowledge of cloud service providers, like AWS.
