Python Django Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking highly accomplished Backend Developer who can be the part of the GEDU IT Engineering Team at GEDU Noida. The person should preferably have worked as a Backend Developer in any Software Product development organization. He/she should be driven by business needs, should be a great user advocate, should have good communication skills and ability to inspire people at all levels to follow your customer intimacy. We are working on modern software to meet customer satisfaction we are now building up our team as a group of talents with exceptional skills, knowledge, and value to our company and to the team. As a Backend Developer, you will be at the front line for expanding, designing and maintaining Backend solutions and user interface, addressing a wide array of business problems using a diverse range of technologies. This includes implementing new features and optimizing performance. When you join our team, you are given the opportunity to take ownership of projects and work with like-minded, skilled individuals to design, test and evolve our solution, in a creative and analytical setting. He/she can work with multiple Agile SCRUM teams as a Backend Developer. Responsible for co-developing the vision and strategy of the product by collaborating with Product Managers, product owners, architects, R&D leadership. He/she develops and communicates the strategic direction for the software teams. He/she collaborates with user experience team to define intuitive user experience to our users. He/she collaborates with R&D stakeholders to define the non-functional roadmap for the product.

Experience

• 5-8 Years experience in Backend development.

Educational Qualification(s)

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Responsible for the development of features from backend.
• Writes clean and robust code which is reusable and bug-free.
• Implements automated test cases enabling continuous integration & continuous development (CI/CD).
• Implements infrastructure of the application in Amazon Web Services in a scalable, secure and highly available manner.
• Sets up monitoring and alerts for performance issues, downtime. Ensures fault-tolerance is set up at an infrastructure level.
• Ensures infrastructure is in a secure place and acts at first instance of breach.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in web application development, with a strong focus on Django and Django Rest Framework.
• Ability to work with RESTful APIs.
• Extensive experience with multithreading and multiprocessing techniques to optimize application performance.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, API development, and database optimization.
• Knowledge of database systems, including SQL/NoSQL concepts.
• Prior experience in the Education Technology Industry is a plus.
• Preferred experience with Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) standards and integration.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Good team player.
• Prior experience of working with Global clients.
• Experience of database like Postgres, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of software development life-cycle methodologies e.g. Iterative, Waterfall, Agile, etc.
• Good Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Experience of code review and code refactoring with best industry practices.
• Must have knowledge of working on code repository (Azure Repos, GIT etc.).
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Nice to have Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in AWS services for building and deploying scalable web applications.
• Prior experience of working in a start-up culture.
• Prior experience of working in Agile SAFe and PI Planning.
