ROLE PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Visual Media Manager (London based), We are seeking a skilled and creative Videocast/Interview video content Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for videocasts and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to transform raw interview footage into polished, engaging content. This role requires proficiency in leading video editing software, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of best videocast editing practices.

The Videocast/Interview Video Content Editor will collaborate closely with our visual media and design team to ensure the highest quality content for our target audiences. The produced video content will be featured on our digital platforms. The produced video content should meet brand guidelines and match our high-quality production values.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibility for ensuring all visual content is edited on brand and matches GEDU production values.
• From rushes through to end-product, create engaging and exciting video content for use across all GEDU brands channels, social media, email marketing and videocast/podcast hosting platforms.
• Edit video content to maximise visual impact and engagement.
• Optimise and tailor requirements of assets to fit various channel requirements, selecting best format for final output.
• Repurposing long form video content for social media.
• Project backup and archiving.

Other Duties

• To undertake staff development appropriate to the post as may be identified and required from time to time, and in accordance with GEDUs Staff Development Programme. 
• To observe and implement health and safety responsibilities as specified within GEDUs Health and Safety Policy. 
• To demonstrate professionalism in the role as a representative of GEDU, incorporating GEDU core values in the delivery of duties. 

To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be requested.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in video post-production - editing, grading (ie Slog3), sound design and working with motion graphics with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical proficiency in multi cam editing.
• Familiarity with podcasting/videocasting or interview-style content production is preferred.
• Proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition
• Proficiency in Davinci Resolve and colour grading from Black Magic RAW
• Strong experience in audio post-production editing, mixing, and mastering of multitrack audio podcasts to loudness standard.
• Knowledge of motion graphics, animation and AI tools is a plus.
• Meet deadlines, attention to details and deliver high-quality video content on time while prioritising multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of video and audio compression and optimisation for videocast/audiocast platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Understanding of the Higher Education (HE) sector and student recruitment, desirable but not essential.
• A degree in film production, media studies, communications, or related field (preferred).
