Position Summary :

Experience : 3+yrs.

We are seeking highly accomplished Backend Development Lead who can be the part of the GEDU IT Engineering Team at GEDU Noida. The person should preferably have worked as a Backend Developer in any Software Product development organization.

He/she should be driven by business needs, should be a great user advocate, should have good communication skills and ability to inspire people at all levels to follow your customer intimacy. As a Backend Developer, you will be at the front line for expanding, designing and maintaining Backend solutions and user interface, addressing a wide array of business problems using a diverse range of technologies. This includes implementing new features and optimizing performance.

- He/she can work with multiple Agile SCRUM teams as a Backend Development Lead.

- Responsible for co-developing the vision and strategy of the product by collaborating with Product Managers, product owners, architects, R&D leadership.

- He/she develops and communicates the strategic direction for the software teams.

- He/she collaborates with user experience team to define intuitive user experience to our users.

- He/she collaborates with R&D stakeholders to define the non-functional roadmap for the product.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage a team of developers, designers, and testers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and create detailed project plans.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Conduct regular team meetings, code reviews, and performance evaluations.

- Identify and address technical and operational challenges to maintain project momentum.

- Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and professional growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/science or a related field.

- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in web application development, with a strong focus on Django and Django Rest Framework.

- Ability to work with RESTful APIs, Sql PostGreSql, Celery, Redis.

- Extensive experience with multithreading and multiprocessing techniques to optimize application performance.

- Strong experience with Python.

- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.

- Strong understanding of software design principles, API development, and database optimization.

- Knowledge of database systems, including SQL/NoSQL concepts.

- Prior experience in the Education Technology Industry is a plus.

- Preferred experience with Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) standards and integration.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

- Good team player.

- Prior experience of working with Global clients.

- Experience of database like Postgres, MySQL and MongoDB.

- Knowledge of software development life-cycle methodologies e.g. Iterative, SCRUM, Agile, etc.

- Good Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.

- Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.

- Experience of code review and code refactoring with best industry practices.

- Must have knowledge of working on code repository (AWS, Azure, GIT etc.)

- Ability to learn and implement new technologies in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Nice to have Skills and Qualifications :

- Proficiency in AWS services for building and deploying scalable web applications.

- Prior experience of working in a start-up culture.

- Prior experience of working in Agile SAFe and PI Planning
