Responsibilities
Job Summary: Quality NPI Engineer is responsible for ensuring new products meet the quality standard before being introduced into mass production.
- Develop and implement Quality plans for new product introductions
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure product designs meet quality and manufacturing standard.
- Facilitate design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for quality (DFQ) processes.
- Conduct risk assessments such as FMEA for new products
- Coordinate with supplier quality to ensure incoming components or material meet quality standard.
- Conduct supplier audits, reviews and qualification for new products.
- Lead process validation and qualification efforts, including PPAP
- Oversee pilot production runs and Analyse data to identify potential quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvements initiatives within the NPI process
- Ensure accurate and details documentation of quality processes, test results, and corrective actions.
Preferred Skill:
- Certification in six Sigma or Quality Engineering will be advantage.
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Knowledge regulatory requirements for the specific industry (Railways)
