Job Description

A Business Development Executive in Logistics with 2-4 years of experience plays a key role in driving business growth and expanding the company's client base within the logistics and supply chain sector. Below are some common responsibilities, qualifications, and skills associated with this role:


Key Responsibilities:


Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

    • Identify and target new business opportunities in logistics, such as warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, and freight forwarding.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
    • Meet with key stakeholders, including senior management and decision-makers, to promote logistics solutions.

Market Research & Analysis:

    • Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
    • Analyze customer requirements and create tailored logistics solutions.
    • Stay informed about industry developments and technological advancements.

Sales Strategy & Proposal Development:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and expand the customer base.
    • Prepare proposals and presentations to pitch logistics services to potential clients.
    • Negotiate and close deals in line with company goals.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
    • Provide feedback from clients to improve service offerings and operational processes.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:

    • Track and report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
    • Achieve monthly/quarterly targets and KPIs.

Contract Management:

    • Handle contract negotiations and ensure the terms and conditions are aligned with business goals.

Skills Required:

  2. Sales & Negotiation Skills: Ability to close deals, understand customer pain points, and provide solutions.

  6. Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and performance metrics.
