Job Description:
We are seeking an extremely intelligent, vigilant, and highly experienced Senior Administrator for Gandhi Engineering College. The ideal candidate should be an ex-army officer with experience in senior administrative positions, bringing leadership, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility to manage the day-to-day operations of the campus. The individual will be expected to ensure the college operates efficiently, safely, and securely, while maintaining an environment conducive to both academic and administrative excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the overall maintenance, safety, and security of the college campus, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, students, and visitors.
Manage administrative functions including but not limited to office management, procurement, resource allocation, and reporting.
Develop and implement strategies for crisis management and disaster recovery plans.
Liaise with various departments to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and resolve conflicts.
Supervise the security staff and coordinate with external security agencies to ensure campus security protocols are strictly followed.
Manage day-to-day campus operations, addressing any emergencies or issues promptly to avoid disruptions.
Oversee staff training and development programs to enhance administrative capabilities and performance.
Maintain and develop operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions for the maintenance and development of campus infrastructure.
Prepare reports and present to senior management regarding operational status, campus safety, and any recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
Must be an ex-army officer with experience in senior administrative positions.
Proven experience in administration, preferably in an educational institution or large organization.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and handling complex administrative functions.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in Odia.
High degree of vigilance, attention to detail, and ability to spot and address potential issues before they escalate.
Strong ethical values, with a sense of loyalty, accountability, and professionalism.
Active and responsive in various situations, with the ability to handle stressful and urgent tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in administrative software and technology tools for reporting and resource management.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
