Job Description

GEC Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing digital marketing campaigns. They will leverage a variety of digital platforms, including social media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and content creation, to enhance awareness and generate interest in the college.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Digital Campaign Strategy:
    • Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing strategies to attract prospective students.
    • Collaborate with the Admissions and Marketing teams to align digital campaigns with collegegoals.
  2. Social Media Management:
    • Create and manage content across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) to engage with prospective students.
    • Monitor engagement metrics, analyse performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  3. SEO and SEM:
    • Perform SEO audits and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to increase organic search rankings.
    • Develop and execute paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.) to drive traffic and inquiries.
  4. Email Marketing:
    • Design, implement, and analyse email campaigns targeting prospective students, parents, and high school counsellors.
    • Develop email drip campaigns to nurture leads through the admissions funnel.
  5. Content Creation:
    • Develop creative and compelling content, including blog posts, videos, graphics, and website copy to attract and inform prospective students.
    • Collaborate with the design team to create marketing materials that align with the brand voice.
  6. Analytics & Reporting:
    • Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.) to track the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
    • Provide regular reports on campaign performance and propose improvements based on data-driven insights.
  7. Paid Advertising Management:
    • Manage paid campaigns across platforms like Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads, and other digital ad networks.
    • Monitor ad spend, ROI, and optimize campaigns to achieve cost-effective results.
  8. Market Research & Trends:
    • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices in the education industry.
    • Conduct market research to understand prospective student behaviour and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, particularly in higher education or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, SEM, social media platforms, and digital advertising.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinking with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) for basic content creation.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools
