We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hardware Project Lead to spearhead the development of cutting-edge digital electronic systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in microcontroller and microprocessor-based hardware design, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Experience with high-power rectifiers or inverters for EV or related applications is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the full lifecycle of hardware development projects, from concept to production, including requirements gathering, design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Design and develop microcontroller and microprocessor-based digital electronic circuits, including schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware interfacing.
• Select and evaluate electronic components, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of hardware prototypes, utilizing oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers, software developers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior hardware engineers.
• If applicable, design and implement high-power rectifier and inverter circuits, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in digital electronics and related technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in hardware design, with a focus on microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems.
• Strong proficiency in digital circuit design, including schematic capture and PCB layout using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle).
• Extensive experience with microcontrollers and microprocessors (e.g., NXP, TI, STM etc).
• Solid understanding of digital communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART).
• Experience with hardware debugging and testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with high-power rectifier and inverter design for EV segment.
• Knowledge of power electronics principles and applications.
• Experience with embedded firmware development.
• Experience with regulatory compliance testing (e.g. EMC, safety).
