Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our team.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to drive improvements in business processes and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering and documenting requirements, conducting data analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Work closely with stakeholders (business users, department heads, etc.) to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Create detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, and user stories.
Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to understand and clarify business needs.
Process Analysis & Improvement: Analyze existing business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation. Conduct cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to recommend process improvements.
Design and propose new workflows, business models, and system enhancements to streamline operations.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources (internal systems, external databases, etc.) to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business decision-making and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis and industry trends. Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, marketing, finance, operations) to ensure that business requirements are aligned with technical capabilities and project goals. Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
Project Management Support: Assist in the management of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meet business requirements.
Help prioritize and manage project backlogs, ensuring that tasks are properly documented and tracked. Monitor project progress and support risk management efforts to resolve issues that may impact the project timeline or deliverables.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop test plans, test cases, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the solution meets business needs and requirements. Participate in system testing and coordinate with technical teams to ensure proper implementation of business requirements.
Key Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role. Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements and working with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in business analysis tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Jira, Confluence, and similar platforms. Strong understanding of database management, SQL, and data analysis techniques. Knowledge of business process modeling and workflow design tools is a plus. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies is advantageous. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze and interpret data, trends, and business processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings, insights, and recommendations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management and technical teams.
Certifications (Optional but Preferred): Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster), or similar certifications are a plus.
