The successful candidate will work within a dedicated team to provide daily bank loan closing services, utilising both external third-party systems and SSC tailored internal systems. They will have responsibility for ensuring all bank loan trades are successfully settled via the bank loan agent and settlement calculations are accurate and complete as well as managing all other aspects of our clients loan trade requirements. Some of the key duties are listed below:
- Work together with the bank loan administration team and implementations team to on board / implement new clients or funds, if necessary.
- Review and match client trade bookings against external third-party documentation facilitation platforms.
- Allocate to sub funds as necessary and review trade documentation (LMA and LSTA) such as trade confirmations, assignment agreements, participation agreements, netting agreements and pricing letters in the third-party documentation facilitation platform. Liaise with counterparties and agents or, as maybe necessary, the client to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Review settlement calculations for accuracy and completeness and submit executed documentation for settlement and funding/payment.
- Update internal systems with status and comments of unsettled trades.
- Prepare reports and liaise with client on unsettled trades status on a regular basis.
- Liaise with client on their instructions for an ad hoc vote, waiver or consent request and advise same to counterparty or agent.
- Liaise with client on their cash management objectives and balances in relation to settlement of buy and sale trades.
- Work on automation or other technology projects related to loan closing and administration.
Your Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance or related discipline.
- Financial services industry experience in Bank Loan servicing or closing working for a bank, hedge fund, administrator, or prime broker.
- Understanding of loans including life cycle events, trade closing mechanics and economics, market settlement conventions, Credit Agreements and their operational mechanics (i.e. funds flows, ticking fees, paydowns, drawdowns, Affiliate language etc.)
- Knowledge of Geneva and Clearpar would be an advantage.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional client relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to work within a team environment in a productive and supportive manner.
