Azure Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current business practices, processes, and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics Services.
• Provide technical leadership and thought leadership as a senior member of the team in areas such as data access & ingestion, data processing, data integration, data modelling.
• Collaborate with project managers for project/sprint planning by estimating technical tasks and deliverables.
• Develop best practices including reusable code, libraries, patterns, and consumable frameworks for cloud-based data warehousing and ETL.
• Maintain best practice standards for the development or cloud-based data warehouse solutioning including naming standards.

Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 3+ Years of total Experience in the Information technology space.
• 2+ years of Azure Experience.
• Experience in designing and hands-on development in cloud-based analytics solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Apache Spark on the Azure Databricks platform.
• Expert level understanding on Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Azure App Service is required.
• Strong experience with SQL is required.
• Strong Python experience is required.
• Knowledge of Azure Dev-Ops processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as code is essential.
• Thorough understanding of Azure Infrastructure offerings.
• Power BI is desirable.

• Strong customer engagement skills to understand customer needs for Analytics solutions fully.
• Strong data analysis and analytical skills.
• Have demonstrated the ability to guide the development of data requirements for projects and drive a user experience that is easy to use and delivers the right information at the right time.
• Experience in working in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
