Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced technology leader to join us as the Head of Engineering. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping the technology strategy and driving the execution of our engineering projects. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning our technology and product goals, while also mentoring and growing our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tech Strategy Design: Lead the design and execution of technology strategy, including the overall development lifecycle of complex projects. Drive technology innovations to impact the bottom line and align with the firm's vision.
• Growth Roadmap: Develop and implement a comprehensive execution plan to achieve the companys technology and product objectives.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Oversee resource planning, hiring, and professional development. Build and nurture the next generation of leadership within the engineering division.
• Curiosity and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and integrate relevant innovations to enhance user experience on the ACE Online platform.
• Reliability and Security: Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of production-level services. Implement best practices for data security and system reliability at scale.

Requirements:

• Experience: 7-10 years in software development with a proven track record in a similar role. Hands-on experience in multiple programming languages.
• Technical Expertise:
• Extensive experience in designing microservices-based architectures with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Proficient in design principles such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, Clean Code Principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Reactive Programming Techniques, and Repository Pattern.
• Deep knowledge of Java 8, Spring Framework, SQL/Relational Databases, Non-Relational Databases (e.g., MongoDB), Messaging Queues (e.g., Pub/Sub), and API Gateways.
• Experience with cloud architecture and security (GCP or AWS), container technologies (GKE, Docker), Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Knowledge of video streaming technologies (Video-on-Demand/Live), Digital Rights Management (DRM), and associated security practices.
• Experience with AI architecture, data science, or big data architecture is a plus.
