Frontend Developer - HTML/CSS/Javascript (2-4 yrs)

As a Junior Frontend Engineer, you will work with your team and product management to make insights from data simple. We are looking for engineers who are customer-obsessed, and who can take on the full scope of the product and user experience beyond the technical implementation.

You'll lay the foundation for how we build robust, scalable, and delightful products.

Below are some example experiences you'll create for our customers to achieve the full project lifecycle, from creating database services, visualizing results, creating statistical models, and deploying as production artifacts.

Simple workflows to create, configure, and manage large-scale database services.

Create, deploy, test, and upgrade complex data pipelines with powerful features to visualize data graphs.

Seamless onboarding and management for all members of an organization to become data-driven.

Provide a great SQL-centric data exploration and dashboarding experience on Tessell

An interactive environment for collaborative data projects at a massive scale with an easy path to production.

Responsibilities :

- Lead and drove projects that span our stack, including Go and Java services hosted in Kubernetes and a UI written in Typescript and React (hooks)Promote strong collaboration within a cross-functional team, including design, and product management.

- Deliver features requiring close coordination with several sister teams such as database management, governance platform, and cloud infrastructure.

- Be a strong contributor to the product vision and drive team planning.

- Mentor and coach junior team members.

- Build for scale and high performance.

Requirements :

- Significant software development experience, including experience in enterprise B2B SaaS web UI application development.

- 2+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e. g., React, Angular, or VueJs/Ember).

- Experience with Canvas, SVG, and other visualization tools/libraries is a plus.

- Experience contributing to interactive dashboards and visualization platforms and/or rich interactive GIS applications is desirable.

- Experience leading large multi-quarter efforts with a demonstrated customer or business impact.

- Deep understanding of modern web applications design architecture, good API design patterns, performance, and scale.

- Passion for user experience and design and an understanding of front-end architecture.

- Comfortable working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.

- Motivated by delivering customer value.

- Familiarity with server-side web technologies is a plus.

- Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, security, and usability.

- Experience building large-scale products.

- Distributed system development experience is a big plus.

- Demonstrated technical leadership experience, such as being an architect or tech lead for high-impact customer-facing projects.
