Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team and drive our retail operations and sales strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies, leading a high-performing sales team, and managing key client relationships. The Sales Manager will also oversee the entire sales process, conduct market and competitor analysis, and work closely with other departments to ensure the achievement of sales targets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet company sales targets and objectives.
    • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities and target customers to expand the business.
  2. Team Leadership and Management:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
    • Set clear sales targets, monitor team performance, and provide coaching and feedback to improve results.
  3. Market and Competitor Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Adjust sales strategies based on market data to ensure the company stays ahead of competitors.
  4. Client Relationship Management (Optional for some clients):
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  5. Sales Operations:
    • Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to deal closure.
    • Ensure sales operations are efficient and adhere to company standards and processes.
  6. Reporting and Analytics:
    • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
    • Use data insights to identify areas for improvement and drive informed decision-making.
  7. Collaboration with Other Departments:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional strategies.
    • Collaborate with the product development team to provide customer feedback and influence product enhancements.
  8. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the sales department budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve sales goals.
  9. Product Knowledge:
    • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the companys product offerings and their application in retail operations.
    • Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies.
  10. Contract Negotiation with Partners/Vendors:
  • Lead contract negotiations with partners, vendors, and clients to secure favorable terms.
  • Ensure all contracts and agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in retail operations/sales with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in leading and managing a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of the retail industry and its operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
