Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Fresh2day Warehouse - Ambattur

Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Fresh2day's warehouse facility, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe handling of all inventory, as well as effective team management. This role involves coordinating receiving, storage, and distribution operations, optimizing space and resources, and upholding quality and safety standards in line with Fresh2days business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and timely distribution of products.
• Implement and maintain accurate inventory tracking systems to ensure stock levels align with business requirements.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Warehouse Operations
• Plan and manage daily warehouse activities, including order processing, packaging, and dispatch.
• Ensure efficient space utilization and optimize layout for streamlined operations.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Team Leadership
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, including inventory specialists, forklift operators, and other personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training opportunities to build a skilled and engaged team.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and productive work environment by promoting teamwork and communication.
• Quality Assurance
• Ensure all products are handled and stored in compliance with Fresh2day’s quality standards.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing products.
• Address and resolve any issues related to product quality or warehouse operations.
• Safety and Compliance
• Enforce health and safety protocols and ensure warehouse staff adhere to safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Logistics Coordination
• Collaborate with suppliers, transporters, and other departments to coordinate incoming shipments and outgoing deliveries.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Address and resolve issues related to delays, damage, or discrepancies in shipments.
• Data Analysis and Reporting
• Monitor warehouse performance metrics, such as order accuracy, turnaround times, and inventory discrepancies.
• Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and productivity.
• Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role, preferably in retail or supermarket distribution.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a team.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
