Maintenance Project Engineer - Civil

The Maintenance Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of maintenance projects involving civil works, piping, interiors, and furniture. The role ensures that all projects meet quality standards, comply with safety regulations, and are delivered on time and within budget. The incumbent will coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to achieve seamless project execution and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Project Management

• Plan and manage maintenance projects, including civil works, piping, interiors, and furniture-related tasks.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

• Prepare accurate and detailed BOQs, factoring in material requirements, labor costs, and other project-related expenses.
• Ensure BOQs are aligned with project budgets and timelines.

3. Project Scheduling

• Develop comprehensive project schedules, setting clear timelines and milestones.
• Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of all project tasks.

4. Budgeting and Cost Control

• Create detailed budgets for maintenance projects and manage financial resources effectively.
• Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to optimize spending.

5. Manpower and Subcontractor Management

• Recruit, onboard, and manage manpower and subcontractors based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, operations, and finance, to align project objectives.
• Maintain open communication channels to ensure smooth project execution.

7. On-Site Supervision

• Oversee on-site activities to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
• Provide guidance and address any issues arising on-site promptly.

8. Progress Monitoring and Risk Management

• Track and document project progress, ensuring alignment with schedules and objectives.
• Identify potential risks, analyze their impact, and implement corrective measures to minimize delays or disruptions.

9. Project Documentation

• Maintain organized and detailed project documentation, including contracts, approvals, change orders, and progress reports.
• Ensure all records comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

10. Client Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status.
• Address client concerns promptly and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• years of experience in managing maintenance or construction projects, preferably involving civil works and interiors.
