Job Description
- Provide holistic /comprehensive patient care to the allotted patients.
- Compliance to nursing manuals/protocols at all circumstances while on duty.
- Following medical prescriptions/orders and taking care of patients need
- Complete hand over/take-over of her assigned patients including physically checking patients and their units.
- Checks her special assignments like checking of crash cart, checking inventory, or any other assignment given by in-charge
- Records and Reports any losses and breakage in the unit.
- Plans, organizes, and delivers nursing care in a manner that upholds organizational values, healing, promotion of health and prevention of complications
- Prepare patients for and assist with examination and as per doctor's prescription
- Maintenance of nursing records including nurse’s notes, charts, consents, and initial assessment data for all assigned patients as per protocols.
- Maintains continuity of care through clear and concise verbal and written communication with all departments, internal and external customers
- Reception and orientation of newly admitted patients assigned to him/her.
- Collects and sends all relevant documents duly completed to ensure speedy transfers or discharge process. Will accompany all critical & unstable patients.
- Performs nursing procedures as per set protocols in the department
- Imparts relevant health education to patients and families and documents the same.
- Follow end of life care, maintain.be empathetic and accompany deceased to mortuary if required
- Attends all in-service education programs and takes mandatory certification programs.
- Takes responsibility and accountability in professional advancement
- Follow Hospital Infection control practices.
- Maintain safe & infection free environment
- Accompanies Consultants on rounds patient care.
- Ensures to take responsibility of Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers to other department.
- Ensures to take responsibility for collection of samples and sending for investigations.
- Understand all Quality indicators of the department and give Quality care to patients.
