Internal Auditor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform Full Audit Cycle: Conduct risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
2. Analyze and Assess Controls: Evaluate the effectiveness of controls, risk management, and governance processes within the hospital.
3. Prepare and Present Reports: Document and present audit results, reflecting the findings and proposed improvements.
4. Identify Risk Areas: Detect areas of significant business risk and propose improvements.
5. Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and controls by executing thorough audits.
6. Develop Audit Plans: Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
7. Follow-Up Audits: Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management's interventions and improvements.
8. Maintain Communication: Keep open communication with management and the audit committee.

Qualifications:

1. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required. Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are often preferred.
2. Experience: Several years of experience in auditing, with a significant portion in a healthcare setting.
3. Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in auditing software and tools.
4. Knowledge: Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing healthcare auditing.
