Mechanical Draughtsman

Holistic Design:

• 3D Design per contractual agreements and based on latest design checklists (using AutoCAD plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks and Inventor)
• Checking the budget consequences of the holistic design
• Creating the drawing list and draft version of the parts /modules list.
• Executing strength and other calculations in close coordination with the lead engineer.

Drawings:

• Making the layout, load drawing and line model of the energy plants.
• Checking finished construction drawings with original start instructions.
• Integrating finished construction drawings into the layout and actively checking the drawings and the layout to exclude collisions. (using Navisworks)
• Actively checking the drawings and the layout to have collision free walkways and good accessibility to parts which need manual handling to obtain smooth maintenance
• Creating timely start instructions for the MDE or subcontractors by start drawings, sketches,

Planning:

• Assigning together with the Project Lead Engineer the detailed drawings to internal and external resources and follow up to guarantee that deadlines are respected, start instructions are followed, ...
• Daily communication with subcontractors and attending meetings if needed.

Teamwork and support:

• Joining internal or external meetings in case required
• Supporting Sales for new upcoming projects by providing sales layout
