- Provide creative direction and mentorship to the paint team.
- Ensure the paint work aligns with the overall vision of the project.
- Manage and lead a team of paint artists, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
- Oversee daily operations of the paint department, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Stay up to date with the latest paint and compositing software and techniques.
- Develop and implement efficient paint workflows and pipelines.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
- Ensure adherence to project-specific technical standards and guidelines.
- Maintain high-quality standards for all paint work.
- Conduct thorough reviews of paint elements to identify and address issues.
- Collaborate with the compositing team to ensure seamless integration of paint elements.
- Attend client reviews and provide clear and concise explanations of paint work.
- Effectively communicate project requirements and status to the team and clients.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Provide accurate estimates for paint work and manage the departments schedule.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Train, mentor, and support Junior staff.
- Proven experience as a VFX Paint Supervisor for a year or Paint Lead atleast for 3 years on feature films or high-end television projects.
