Job Description

The Liaison Officer acts as the intermediary between the company/organization and external stakeholders such as government bodies, regulatory authorities, and other organizations. The role involves ensuring smooth communication and fostering effective relationships to achieve operational goals, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.⁠ ⁠Stakeholder Management:

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and key external parties.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and forums with external parties.

2.⁠ ⁠Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Monitor and report on regulatory developments and changes that may affect the organization.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation to regulatory authorities as required.

3.⁠ ⁠Communication & Coordination:

  • Facilitate smooth communication between internal teams and external partners.
  • Organize meetings and discussions between relevant parties to address concerns or facilitate negotiations.
  • Provide updates to senior management on the status of external relations and regulatory matters.

4.⁠ ⁠Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution:

  • Address any issues, disputes, or concerns raised by external stakeholders and find appropriate resolutions.
  • Work to resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that the interests of the organization are safeguarded.

5.⁠ ⁠Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of communications, agreements, and official documentation.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on liaison activities, status updates, and potential issues.

6.⁠ ⁠Project Support:

  • Support the organization in navigating legal or regulatory processes, providing insights, and facilitating approvals or permits as required.
  • Assist in the successful implementation of projects requiring external coordination or approvals.
