Job Title: Floor Manager (Jewellery Store)

Location: Nagpur/ Bhandara

Department: Sales

Reports to: Store Manager

Job Summary:

The Floor Manager in the Jewellery industry is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sales floor, ensuring that all staff deliver exceptional customer service, meet sales targets, and uphold high standards of store presentation. This role involves managing the team, assisting customers in finding the perfect Jewellery pieces, and maintaining a luxurious, high-end shopping experience. The Floor Manager is also responsible for inventory management, ensuring product security, and handling customer complaints or concerns efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management & Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise the sales team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Schedule shifts, manage attendance, and ensure the floor is adequately staffed during peak times.
    • Provide ongoing training to sales associates on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service, and store policies.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Ensure that customers receive a high level of personalized service, assisting them in choosing Jewellery pieces based on their preferences, needs, and budget.
    • Address customer complaints or issues promptly, ensuring a positive resolution and maintaining a strong brand reputation.
    • Create an inviting and luxurious shopping environment that aligns with the stores brand image and provides an exceptional experience for customers.
  • Sales & Target Achievement:
    • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the team and ensure they are consistently met.
    • Assist in implementing promotional campaigns and special offers to boost sales and customer engagement.
    • Track individual sales performances and encourage team members to achieve higher sales through incentives or coaching.
  • Product Knowledge & Presentation:
    • Ensure the sales team is well-versed in the features and benefits of all Jewellery products, including materials, design, and quality.
    • Maintain the store’s visual presentation, ensuring that displays are attractive, clean, and aligned with the brand’s standards.
    • Oversee product organization, ensuring inventory is well-stocked, neatly arranged, and securely displayed.
  • Inventory Management & Security:
    • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocktaking, ordering new merchandise, and managing back-stock.
    • Work closely with the store manager to track Jewellery pieces, ensuring that high-value items are properly secured and accounted for.
    • Enforce store security protocols to minimize theft, loss, or damage to merchandise.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Provide regular reports on floor performance, sales data, customer feedback, and staff performance to upper management.
    • Communicate promotions, new arrivals, and operational changes to the team in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • years of experience in retail management, preferably in the Jewellery, luxury goods, or fashion industry.
  • Previous experience in supervising and motivating a team is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Jewellery products, precious metals, gemstones, and the overall Jewellery market is an advantage.
  • Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on store requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular store hours; availability for weekend, evening, and holiday shifts may be required.
  • The role may involve standing for long periods and moving between different areas of the store.
