The SolidWorks Designer will be responsible for utilizing SolidWorks software to develop 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical specifications. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical design, proficiency in SolidWorks, and a passion for turning concepts into functional designs.Responsibilities:Design and Modeling:Utilize SolidWorks to create 3D models of mechanical and engineering designs, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and adherence to design specifications.Collaborate with engineering teams to develop concepts and refine designs based on project requirements.Detail Drawings:Generate detailed technical drawings, assembly drawings, and part drawings for production and manufacturing purposes.Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and include all necessary dimensions and annotations.Product Development:Contribute to the development and improvement of new and existing products, considering factors such as materials, manufacturing processes, and cost-efficiency.Design Modifications:Assist in making design modifications and updates based on feedback from engineering teams, prototyping, and testing.Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure design feasibility and functionality.Prototyping Support:Provide support during the prototyping phase by creating prototypes, participating in testing, and making design adjustments as needed.Documentation:Maintain accurate and organized design files, documentation, and records.Ensure proper version control and document management practices.Quality Control:Review designs and drawings to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and industry best practices.Continuous Learning:Stay updated with the latest SolidWorks features, design methodologies, and industry trends to enhance design capabilities.
