Job Position Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, the main responsibility of the quality assistant is to facilitate the administrative process of their respective departments by providing administrative support and documentation of information, adhering to SOPs.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct checks on FSMPL vessels for audit risk/adequacy of navigation/security infrastructure:
Responsible for reporting on areas of audit risk/adequacy of navigation/security infrastructure.
Collaborate with vessel crew to conduct checks on areas of audit risk/adequacy of navigation/security infrastructure as assigned by Head, Operational Excellence/Head, Compliance and Vessel Audit/Head Navigation and Environmental Compliance.
Present findings from checks to Head, Operational Excellence/Head, Compliance and Vessel Audit/Head Navigation and Environmental Compliance to inform business decisions.
Maintain proper documentation and storage of information:
Responsible for the proper documentation and storage of information within the department.
Document information as directed by Head, Operational Excellence/Head, Compliance and Vessel Audit/Head Navigation and Environmental Compliance to ensure proper governance and recording of important information.
Maintain and store of all important physical or e-documents within the department in an organized manner.
Execute continuous improvement initiatives within the department:
Responsible for executing continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Collaborate with Head, Vetting & Performance/Head, Investigation and employees within the department to identify improvements that can be made to policies, processes or technological infrastructure.
Execute continuous improvement initiatives within the department in accordance to developed plans.
Provide regular updates on progress of continuous improvement initiatives, as well as adherence to timeline and budget to Head, Vetting & Performance/Head, Investigation.
Day-to-day operations:
Responsible for the provision of administrative support to the department.
Respond to queries or requests for administrative support within the department in a swift manner, in accordance to developed SOPs.
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
Masters Degree in appropriate discipline with Job experience in similar field.
