Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Lead DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Azure and
AWS, complemented by a robust background in security operations (SecOps). The ideal
candidate will demonstrate a track record of excellence in architecting, deploying, and
managing resilient and secure cloud infrastructures on Azure and AWS platforms. Proficiency in
GCP is desirable. As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will spearhead DevOps initiatives,
prioritizing the implementation of security best practices and ensuring adherence to industry
standards and regulatory requirements. This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive

Responsibilities for Lead DevOps Engineer:
â Linux Expertise:
â Possess advanced knowledge and experience in Linux operating systems,
including shell scripting, kernel tuning, and security hardening, providing
guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and security.
â Architect Linux-based solutions for complex system architectures, including high
availability clusters, load balancing, and fault tolerance mechanisms, leveraging
best practices and industry standards.
â Cloud Expertise (AWS/Azure):
â Lead the design and implementation of complex cloud architectures on AWS and
Azure platforms, incorporating advanced services such as AWS Elastic
Beanstalk, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), AWS Lambda, Azure Functions,
etc.
â Evaluate and recommend new AWS and Azure services and features to optimize
performance, cost, and security based on business requirements and industry
best practices.
â Define and enforce cloud governance policies and controls to ensure compliance
with security standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational guidelines.
â Infrastructure as Code (IAC):
â Define and enforce best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IAC) across the
organization, including code review processes, linting, and testing frameworks to
maintain code quality and reliability.
â Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for
IAC templates, automating validation, testing, and deployment processes to
accelerate time to market and reduce risk.
â Configuration Management:
â Provide technical leadership in defining configuration management strategies
and selecting appropriate tools and technologies to meet scalability, reliability,
and security requirements.
â Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop configuration management
playbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring alignment with
business objectives and ITIL best practices.
â Backup Management & Disaster Recovery (DR):
â Oversee the design and implementation of backup and recovery solutions for
critical data and applications, defining backup schedules, retention policies, and
recovery objectives to meet business continuity needs and regulatory compliance
requirements.
â Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms for backup systems, ensuring
timely detection and resolution of backup failures or data integrity issues, and
conducting regular audits to validate backup integrity and compliance.
â Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive disaster recovery
strategies and solutions, including backup and replication mechanisms, to ensure
business continuity and minimize downtime in the event of system failures or
disasters.
â Conduct regular DR tests and simulations, collaborating with stakeholders to
validate recovery procedures and refine DR plans based on lessons learned and
changing business requirements.
â Kubernetes Expertise:
â Lead the design, deployment, and management of Kubernetes clusters on AWS
EKS and Azure AKS, leveraging advanced features and best practices to ensure
high availability, scalability, and reliability of containerized applications.
â Define Kubernetes governance policies and security controls, including RBAC,
pod security policies, and network policies, to enforce compliance with
organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
â Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on Kubernetes
architecture, design patterns, and troubleshooting techniques, fostering
knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
â DevSecOps:
â Drive the integration of security practices into the DevOps pipeline, collaborating
with security teams to implement automated security controls, vulnerability
scanning, and compliance checks, ensuring early detection and remediation of
security issues.
â Implement security-as-code principles, leveraging tools such as Infrastructure as
Code (IAC), security scanning tools, and automated testing frameworks to
embed security into every stage of the development and deployment lifecycle.
â Collaborate with development teams to address security challenges effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
4 -8 years of experience in DevOps roles, with a focus on cloud platforms (Azure
and AWS Preferred).
Hands-on experience with security operations (SecOps) principles and best
practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Professional, AWS Certified
Security - Specialty, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes
Administrator or relevant industry certifications are a plus.
