Job Description
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
- Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Our Team does enhancement and support for FIS Securities Processing Manager PHASE3 product, which is a real-time order-to-settlement securities processing system used by broker/dealers and correspondent clearings firms.
- At FIS we are looking for an experienced in COBOL programmer to join PHASE3 team.
- Knowledge of SQL language is preferable.
- The successful candidate will work on Enhancement and Support projects for the Product.
- Support FIS solutions and ensure the quality and utilization of FIS products satisfy client needs.
- Recreate, document client issues, and troubleshoot problems to support product quality.
- A Bachelor s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent communicator - ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
- Attention to detail - track record of authoring high quality documentation.
- Organized approach - manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
- Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team.
