Cloud Devops Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer in Digital Engineering unit, you will be part of a fast-paced team designing, developing, integrating, and supporting integration solutions for some of our Fortune 500 customers. You will leverage your formal education in the relevant field and your professional experience to apply professional concepts to work on targeted tasks. You will follow standard practices and procedures applicable in your area of work to complete your task/deliverable with high quality under limited supervision. Your established aptitude to achieve this while supporting other members of the team and improving your own knowledge and skills will define success for your role.

Responsibilities
• Participate into the teams to find automation opportunities and draft execution plan
• Working closely with project leads to monitor, evaluate, and ensure the completion of tasks and projects.
• Involved in strategic plans to accomplish technical as well as business objectives with leadership chain, team and with customers.
• Coordinate activities which enforce Development improvements, CI and CD

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science
• Proficient in AWS Cloud Services including Lambda, security.
• Proficient in IaC using AWS CloudFormation
• Proficient in monitoring and alerting systems using AWS CloudWatch.
• Experienced with GitLab pipelines along with advanced features of GitLab.
• Experienced in containerization using Docker.
• Experienced in microservices architecture and its implementation.
• Troubleshooting skills for AWS services and GitLab pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Associate level certification in AWS is an added advantage.
• Experience in GCP services.
• Hands-on experience in collaborating and supporting developers to resolve devOps related issues.
• Hands-on experience in working with ticketing tools like Service Now and project management tools like Azure Boards and Jira.
• Design and implement CI/CD for projects using GitLab pipelines.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages like Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement scalable and resilient architectures for on-premises and cloud applications.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Knowledgeable on SDLC, unit testing frameworks
• Experience with software development tools and standards e.g. coding conventions, best practices, design patterns as well as development methodologies e.g. waterfall, iterative, agile
• Excellent logical/analytical, problem-solving skills and a good Team player. Should be able to work in a team as well as an individual contributor.
• Should be willing to work in shifts when required.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and proactive attitude.
• Capable of performing under pressure and within set timelines.
